What Microsoft’s Secure Productive Enterprise means for you!

This July Microsoft introduced a new initiate titled “Secure Productive Enterprise” which will come to be some time in Q4 of 2016.  It’s a new license structure with a purpose.  The goal is to help customers along their journey of Digital Transformation.  It is meant to provide uncompromised productivity, mobility, collaboration, insights, and security for all that use this license model.

This is the next step in modern licensing.  With this model you will be able to buy what you need from Microsoft with increased flexibility to deploy on premise or in the cloud.  This can be arranged no matter what stage you are in during your cloud journey.

MICROSOFT SECURE PRODUCTIVE ENTERPRISE LICENSE IS ALL NEW!

For the first time ever, customers will be able to license these capabilities in a single, per-user program that includes cloud-first, on premise capable licensing entitlements.

This means you can now easily move from on premise to the cloud at your own desired pace.

We’ve been waiting for this for a long time!

This means no more counting devices, no more counting productivity servers, no need to struggle to add additional licenses when moving from on premise to the cloud.

Now it’s one license per user, no matter where they are deploying the license.

WHAT DO YOU GET WITH SECURE PRODUCTIVE ENTERPRISE LICENSE?

Both offerings of Secure Productive Enterprise include:

  • On-premises productivity server capabilities like Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business for any user licensed.
  • One on-premises install of Office Professional Plus per user

The Office Professional Plus license grants productivity server capabilities with Secure Productive Enterprise.  This helps customers address line-of-business and mission critical scenarios that may otherwise bother their journey to the cloud.

There will be licensing options for existing Microsoft customers to easily acquire Secure Productive Enterprise.

At launch, Secure Productive Enterprise E3 and E5 will be available through the Enterprise Agreement, Enterprise Agreement Subscription, and Microsoft Products and Services Agreement. Secure Productive Enterprise E3 and E5 will also become available in the Cloud Solution Provider program.
